Please note: The Professional Development Registry (PDR) is no longer located at this URL and has moved to https://pdr.decal.ga.gov.
Georgia Training Approval works to support the professional development needs of child care providers in the state of Georgia by striving to ensure that state-approved training meets high quality standards. Georgia Training Approval is a component of the Georgia Early Care and Education Professional Development System (GECEPDS).

GECEPDS promotes professional growth for individuals in the early care and education field who work with children from birth through age five and in after-school care programs. Individual professional development is encouraged through:
  • Beginning, intermediate, and advanced level training from state-approved and state-accepted sources;
  • Educational achievements through technical colleges, colleges, and universities; and
  • Experience in the early care and education field.
For more information, please select the links provided on this page across the top and at the left. If you are an early care and education professional and would like to learn about competencies, making decisions about your career, or how to access financial aid, select the Career Development link at the top of the page. If you are interested in becoming a state-approved early care and education trainer, select the ECE Trainers link in the left-hand menu.
