Health and Safety Orientation Training

Georgia Approved Trainers can submit training to be approved for the CCDF Health and Safety Orientation Training and, once approved, may list their CCDF trainings in the Training Calendar at www.training.decal.ga.gov. Programs required to obtain CCDF Health and Safety Orientation Training include all DECAL-licensed facilities, all license-exempt facilities that accept CAPS subsidies, and informal CAPS providers.

Health and Safety Orientation PLUS First Year Basic Six Training

The PLUS training includes the first year training for direct care staff including: a) at least 6 hours of training on disease control, cleanliness, basic hygiene, illness detection, illness disposition and childhood injury control; and b) at least 2 hours of training in identifying, reporting and meeting the needs of abused, neglected or deprived children (total must be a minimum of 8 hours). Georgia Approved Trainers can submit training to be approved and may list their CCDF trainings in the Training Calendar at www.training.decal.ga.gov.
