This course provides participants with a greater understanding of the importance of including children with various disabilities in the regular early childhood classroom. Participants will explore ways to adapt the classroom to better accommodate children with disabilities in various centers of a classroom. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to identify ways to adjust their schools philosophy to include children with disabilities, identify what to look for when observing children and what developmental alerts may result in professional referrals, list several types of common disabilities and list ways to adapt learning centers for children with various disabilities.
