Description
The Child Development Associate course provides early childhood professionals to become highly trained and knowledgeable about the early childhood field. This course aims to further the career path of early childhood professional to achieve their full potential in the field at this level. Students will learn how about early childhood and child development in-depth and share their own experiences in the field with other peers. Moreover, this course offers student-teacher engagement through web conferencing lectures and peer-to-peer interactions online which bridges the gap between the early childhood field and the uses of technology amongst professionals in the field. The course is designed to correlate with the 6 Competency Goals and 13 Functional Areas designed by the Council for Professional Recognition. Topic such social-emotional development, health & safety, ethnocentrism, cultural biases, early childhood education theory, learning through play, and other trendy research based topics will be discussed. Moreover, students will learn how create fulfilling culturally enriched learning environments, ideas, and systems that will promote cohesive learning environment for all children.
